Argus

Argus

Hey guys what’s up, so we’re here to do a quick Argus guide. Some tips on his gameplay, his build, and which battle spell to use.

Now, first off guys, we need to understand his passive skill, Warmonger. Which says:

Warmonger
Warmonger

Taking of dealing damage will charge the demonic blade (the lower the health is, the faster the blade charges) when fully charge Argus’s next basic attack will be two quick basic attacks.

From this, we can formulate which items Argus can benefit the most. The faster you deal damage, the faster you can charge your demonic blade, more so if you have lower health. So that means, having increased attack speed will help trigger your passive a lot more. That means you need items that increase your attack speed. Now with your passive always getting triggered, that means you’re doing a lot of basic attacks.

Haas's Claws

Berserker's Fury
Berserker’s Fury
Scarlet Phantom
Scarlet Phantom

So how can you take advantage of a hero who has quick basic attacks? Welp, that’s right guys, as you all now, life steal and criticals. Attack speed, criticals, and life steal go hand in hand when it comes to basic attacks. And when it comes to these factors, your first item of choice would be, Scarlet Phantom, Berserker’s Fury, and Hsaa’s Claw. So these three items are the basic foundation for your set.

Windtalker
Windtalker

Next up, is the Windtalker, why? Not only does it increase your attack speed and critical chance, but it also increases your movement speed. Remember that, with Argus’s ultimate, opponents usually run from you the moment you use it. Then they come back once the duration of your ultimate is over. Having increased movement speed helps you catch up to those opponents, and finish the job. By the way guys, I didn’t go through the each of Argus’s skill description, coz by now you most likely know how Argus’s skills work. Also, guys, Windtalker has a unique passive-Typhoon, which says:

After every four basic attacks, the next basic attack must deal 125 magic damage to 3 enemies.

Remember your passive guys; you deal a lot of quick basic attacks because of it, so that means, it also helps in triggering this Unique passive-Typhoon from the Windtalker. So yes, Argus would greatly benefit from this item. Not only that guys, but it also has a Unique Passive-Activate, which says:

Each time Typhoon is cast, one’s movement speed will be increased 5% for a short time. Again guys, more movement speed for you, thus forcing your opponent to face you when you have your ultimate on. Because, as I said before, opponents run from you once you have your ultimate on, and then they just wait for it to finish to attack you again. Again, Argus can trigger this item skill a lot more compared to other heroes, because of his passive skill.

Blade of Despair
Blade of Despair

So last item guys, Blade of Despair. Simply because this is an end game item, the stats it provides is just perfect for your current build. Also guys, as for the boots, get the Swift Boots, obviously because of the attack speed bonus. If you play Argus properly, and time his ultimate just right, you won’t need any defense items, what you want with this build is kill as fast as you can while you have your ultimate on.

Inspire
Inspire

And that is why we are going for the Inspire battle spell. Like I said guys, fast kill. Once you have your ultimate on, your opponents can’t kill you; they can’t do anything about you. Your only job is to eliminate them as fast as you can. If you want a safer option, then go for Flicker. So that’s it guys, hope you enjoyed that video, good luck on playing Argus. Thanks!
